The Club was founded nearly 30 years ago and is the only 1/5 scale club in Northern Ireland. The Club Races 1/5 scale FG mini, saloons, bikes and MCD XR5. We have disabled facilities and have members from age 8 to over 80. We currently don't have a Web site but we are on Facebook, search for Craigavon Model Racing Club. There is plenty of parking and spectators are always welcome. Unfortunately we do not have a covered pitting area but we can offer a gazebo to any visiting driver and power can be supplied. There is room for camping beside the track and the Club does not charge for this. Toilet facilities are nearby with showering facilities available for visiting drivers. Track is near several shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants and the famous Rushmere shopping centre is only a mile away. We are an unofficial group who have mainly been meeting up at the Lead Mines in Newtownards (a.k.a Whitespots) for the last 3 years or so with our 1/10 RC Crawlers. Many of us are into multiple forms of RC, on road, off road, kit building, scale replicas etc and being a jolly bunch we are always happy to provide advice and support for anyone stuck with a project or even looking advice on entering the exciting world of remote control cars & trucks.
