This park is easily found on Maps. Parking is usually plentiful. Walk past the gazebo and take a right on the paved path. Walk down a little ways and keep your eyes peeled for a beaten path through the brush down to the river.

Need to purchase a day pass or MN State Park sticker to park in the state park. Great rock crawling at the Glacial Potholes Visiting Center, or park at the camp ground/canoe rental and take the hiking trail.

Park at Lillydale Regional Park, or during high water park at Cherokee Regional Park and walk to corner of Annapolis St. and Highway 13 (Brickyard Trail Trailhead). You will see scenic views of St. Paul, MN as you walk the higher parts of the trail. Rock crawling with shallow stream at the very bottom.

This little gem is found along the Mississippi River Regional Trail. It is just over a half mile north of the Wakota Bridge Scenic Trailhead. This park is kind of just a resting spot along the trail. There is a super long drainfield of rocks, with plenty of smaller rocks mixed in with the larger ones. The ground is level in much of this field, with some rocky inclines. It has areas for all scales of rc crawlers. I'm looking forward to bringing some 1/18 scale crawlers. Perfect for stuffing into a pack and hiking to a spot. It would be great for 1/10 scale, as well. There are lots of rocky berms along the trail.

This park has several miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. There is a variety of terrain and a pond near the middle. The trails loop and wind throughout a variety of trees and open prarie land. The parking lot is kinda small, but there has always been spaces available. Not a ton of people come here, but you will come across mountain bikers and hikers on the trail. It's a great place to walk a few miles with your favorite trail-truck.

Parking is $7 for a day pass and $35 for annual pass. Walk down the stairs and cross the St. Louis River via swing bring. There you'll see endless basalt rock and stunning wildlife. 1/10 rock crawling is spectacular. There are beautiful trails for for your favorite trail truck.
