Give this place 4.5 stars. Only reason I don't give this place 5 out of 5 is because the beach has a lot of pebbles and some rocks. A bit hard on my feet. But it has a sandy beach with lifeguard, a side area for dogs, a canteen (but no fries), a large gazebo, a play structure (good for small kids under 10), a splash pad, and a large grassy area with lots of picnic tables. Nice spot for a family on a nice summer day.
We went there for two back to back weekends. Loved both of them. Personally I loved the beach and my husband loved the quiet surroundings. But both of us enjoyed our time immensely.
This is such a great park. I've been here a few times in all seasons and it's always been wonderful. There's roving gangs of seagulls that you definitely should not feed, but other than that it's one of the most peaceful places to be.
Play areas, tons of picnic benches, public washrooms, a lovely view of the river, and a beach with a lifeguard post.
It is a nice quite park, with a great view. It is a family oriented place with a small beach. Kids have few facilities there, like slide and water fountains to play with.
Great place! Reasonably clean washrooms. Small store that sells everything you need. Water pad. Small beach and a great view of Ottawa River from.above. The water has pointy rocks. Wear beach shoes or crocks while entering water.
