Not much for long hiking trails but you can still lose a lot of time exploring down below the dam. If you have any 10hp outboard or any kind of kayak or canoe then you'll lose a weekend here easy. Camp ground is also just up the road and has STUNNING vistas.
This is easily the most beautiful lake in Arizona. It looks like itโs straight from the Pacific Northwest, with steep walls and tall pines surrounding the entirety of the coast. It is absolutely beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous! Some of the best kayaking in AZ. The reservoir is still, quiet, and interesting with it's many twists and turns. There were lots of fish jumping, ducks, cranes, and other wildlife. The boat ramp is small but good, especially when the water level is high. It's only an issue if you have two Boy Scout troops trying to launch a ton of canoes at the same time ๐ Rock Crossing Campground nearby is wonderful too. Keep in mind, they're is zero cell service anywhere near the reservoir and the nearest store is a small one in Clint's Well. BRR is a fantastic place to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the beauty and stillness of the AZ outdoors.
Great for small non-motorized boats! No beach, but you can find some nice flat rock spots. Bathrooms & small parking area. Beautiful views.
Hidden treasure in Arizona Rim country. Great kayaking and cool August temperatures. Kayaking, fishing, and waters edge camping surrounded by lush pine forest.
