Camping at Cape Henlopen State Park, DE was a wonderful experience. The tent site we got was really spacious; you can set up 2 tents with no problem. We appreciated the fire ring with adjustable cooking grate. There is something for everyone, tent camping, cabins, Rvs, hiking, biking, nearby Lewes beach with a sandbar. It felt very safe, people were friendly. Very family friendly; will be coming back several times a year.

Great place to come and relax. Great amenities for camping, great bike trails. So much to do. A private beach that's smaller and unguarded. A public beach that's bigger. Guarded and has showers with warm water and a snack bar.

Just a beautiful place, a friend just got married at " The Point" and it was so beautiful. It's a wonderful family place, great for walks, hikes, bike riding, you can even take your car/ truck on the beach at a certain point. The ferry is right there as well. Spend the day or just a few hours taking in all of the beautiful scenery.

This is a truly beautiful spot. On the Atlantic side, you can see dolphins, porpoises, piping plovers, sand pipers, gulls, terns, and more. On the bay side, you have mud flats with snails, clams, horseshoe crabs, flounder... And there are the lighthouses and breakwaters. It's fragile, so stay off the dunes that are marked off. Pay your fee to get in and consider it a donation.
I remember the days when one could walk all around the Cape, a lovely 3 mile walk. This isn't possible now, as part of the beach front has to be protected from humans and dogs.
I suggest going to the Atlantic side in the late afternoon, enjoy the surf, then go over to the Bay side to watch the sunset. You will be really hungry, so have plans for seafood!

Wonderful location. I actually stayed in the barracks as a child with a group. The beache and bath house were so clean. We paid $10 to get in but worth every penny. Take time to enjoy this beautiful park. But if you stay for a while it is well worth it. They have bath houses and snack bar to grab some food. The pier was beautiful and we caught some crabs! The beach was stunningly beautiful.
