I visited Hobby Proz twice and Brian was AMAZING!!!!! This is a great place for your hobby needs and wants! I have been modeling for 50 years and Brian taught me a trick that has changed how I build models .. Especially with very small parts! He helped me find paints because I am color blind and other items to make my modeling Easier and more realistic .. He was great!!!! I live in Phoenix and every time I'm here I will go to Hobby Proz!!!!!!! You will not regret the trip!!!!!!!
This place was awesome! My son and I were looking for model paint. He had a personal project that called for a specific green shade. We had no idea how difficult it would be to find. Although, given the closure of Hobby Lobby, and the early close times of several craft stores, we should have guessed.
To our surprise, Hobby Proz was excellent!! They seem to be for more serious hobbies like large up scale, flying model planes and such. It looked like they had a huge selection of parts. It was impressive to see. Also, I felt educated to see such things. It is definitely a place to go you're into those hobbies.
We plan on going back later to buy some model cars we saw and liked.
You gotta check it out.
Went today for two of the most common model rocket engines. They didn't have any. As a matter of fact 80% of ALL the model rocket engine models were sold out. Very poor selection of rocket kits as well. They might be great for other hobbies, I don't know, but as far as model rocket supplies are concerned you can do better at Hobby Lobby...and Hobby Lobby stinks.
Last of the hobby stores in town! I found the staff helpful. Mostly radio control but, they carry plastic models and supplies, and some model rocketry stuff. And, their prices are competitive with most other sources! So, if you're look at starting up a hobby, or just getting back into one go check them out.
Nice collection of remote airplanes and good inventory of parts. When you crash model aircraft, expect that, you can generally find the right part for an easy fix plus these guys know what they are selling. Inventory seemed a little low on my last visit but maybe they are selling out quickly as summer has started and it's good flying weather. Staff always helpful with great knowledge of the products they sell. Pricing is fair and comparable to internet prices so we preferred to buy local from the guys here. Fun place.
