Great beach for the kids to play and swim! We loved the boats and museum. Looks like a nice campground, too. It is a small state park, and it was very pretty! Very close to Onawa, too. An outdoor shower to rinse off the sand would make this a 5 star in my opinion.
Beautiful park. The campground has plenty of space between each site. The interpretive center was very interesting. Lovely breeze while we were there.
Beautiful park! They have at least 12 FULL HOOK UP TV sites. The rest are electric only. Wish we would have stayed here instead.
This was a stop set as an 8 hr stop over. This turned out to be a gem of state park. Large sites some pull and back in. Price and what you get is a bang for the buck. No fish caught neighbors had fun on their boat. Seems like a great place for kids with the boat at visitor center. Would recommend for more than one night stay. We had a 40ft 5th.
It's a nice clean lake to have a picnic, birthday parties, and to swim. Been going there as far back as can remember it's got this handicap entrance into the lake. My uncles used to push my grandma into the lake with her wheel chair. I meant they carried her into the with her wheel chair. DNR are really nice. And you can go boating and they have a big Lewis and Clark ⛵ on one part of the lake. I do believe there is camping and a play ground on one end. It's pretty nice
